Fava beans and Split fava beans
Fava beans are one of the oldest legumes that have a special place in Iran due to their high nutritional value and use in various dishes. This plant is native to the Mediterranean and West Asian regions and is consumed fresh, dried, and in fava bean pods (peeled and halved seeds). Despite domestic production, Iran imports part of its needs due to high demand and production limitations.
Countries such as Egypt, Syria, Australia and China are major exporters of this product due to their suitable climate and mass production, and our group imports quality dried fava beans from Egypt and Syria and high quality fava beans from Australia. Quality, product uniformity and economic efficiency are the main reasons for this import.
