Cashews are the edible seeds of the cashew tree. These seeds come from the fruit of a tropical tree native to tropical South America, especially Brazil. The reason it is called “Indian almonds” in Iran probably stems from the import of this product through India in the past. India is one of the largest producers and exporters of cashews in the world, and this product is imported to Iran through this country, which is why it is known by this name. The interesting thing is that cashews are actually seeds that grow attached to the bottom of a fruit called a “cashew apple.” After separation and processing (due to the presence of toxic substances in its raw skin), the seeds are transformed into the form we consume.

Iran imports most of its cashew nuts from India and Vietnam, which have many fans in Iranian markets due to their high quality. Our company imports the best and highest quality type of this product from the aforementioned countries and markets it in half-kilogram bags.
